Burger King might have just pulled a perfect marketing stunt. Instead of seeing juicy, shiny (it’s actually fat, folks), colourful and perfectly stacked Whopper, the company launched a commercial showing moldy, puke-green hamburger.
Christopher Finazzo, president Americas of Burger King said in a press release that “The Burger King brand is currently rolling out the Whopper sandwich with no preservatives, colors or flavors from artificial sources in the U.S.”.
Risky ad perhaps came as a response to McDonald’s burger that became viral in 2019 after being stored for 20 years. Burger and fries looked relatively fresh due to all kinds of preservatives used in the process.
This healthy version of the famous Whopper is available in 400 restaurants in the U.S. so far.
Bon appetit!
