The Aviator, Lincoln’s midsize luxury SUV, has now been brought back in 2024 after its production was shortly suspended in 2005. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator has returned to the market this year in a new avatar, and is very well equipped and has strong dynamics. The 2024 Aviator gets offered in five trim levels – Standard, Reserve, Grand Touring, Black Label, and the Black Label Grand Touring. All the models get an impressive set of standard equipment and refined interior features. The price range for the Aviator has been fixated at $51,100 to $87,800.
The SUV in itself appears to offer decent value for money when compared to its rivals, but at the higher end of the trims, it can be deemed to be a bit overpriced. You can try Lincoln’s Build and Price option to see for yourself what options and packages suit you. The choice of trims and optional equipment is entirely dependent upon the customer’s desire.
If you feel that getting a luxury SUV means taking all the benefits associated with it and thereby choosing the best of models, then you can certainly opt for the upper trims. But according to us, the Aviator Reserve is sufficiently equipped and does justice to the price at which it comes. Trim
Among all the five trims, the base Standard model gets enough of the standard features and decent luxury with comfortable front seats and bench seats in the rear along with several Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 features. But our favorite model is the second in line, that is, the 2024 Lincoln Aviator Reserve model. The MSRP is quite standard at $56,190 and comes at around $56,930 after adding acquisition fees and other charges. However, if we choose the All-Wheel-Drive option, it increases to $59,440, which is not overwhelming. The Aviator Reserve gets a 3.0L V-6 twin-turbocharged engine mated to a 10-speed Automatic Transmission with SelectShift technology.
Model Options
The standard equipment for the Aviator Reserve includes 20” Wheels, 360-degree camera, and Premium Leather Enhanced Micro Perforated Seating surfaces. To this, we would like to add the Reserve II package that comes at an additional cost of $11,625 and replaces the 20” wheels with 22” Ultra-Bright Machined Alloy Wheels and adds features like Panoramic Vista Roof with Power Sun Shade, 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D Audio System, Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 Plus Package, and a number of optional packages. On adding the Reserve II optional equipment group, the net price comes at $70,565.
Paint (Exterior and Interior)
The Lincoln Aviator offers 10 exterior color options. Among them, four color options are available at no extra cost, while the other six come at a price of an additional $695. You can save a few bucks here by choosing a hue from the former four options, while we would love to have the Burgundy Velvet color for the additional cost, taking the net price to $71,260.
In the interior, you can choose the leather colors from four options – Ebony, Ebony Roast, Slate Gray and Sandstone, at no extra cost. You can also select the Full Rear Console with Rear Seat Command and Control option for free.
Packages
A number of optional packages are provided by the 2024 Lincoln Aviator. Although the Aviator Reserve in itself is deprived of most of the packages, the purchase of the Reserve II Equipment Group includes them as standard. With the Reserve II in place, we will get the following optional packages:
- Class IV Trailer Tow Package – This includes several features like Blind Spot Detection and Cross-Traffic Alert system, Trailer Coverage, 4-Pin, and 7-Pin Connectors, Alternator, Trailer Sway Control, and Smart Trailer Tow. This package is extremely significant if you are looking to attach a trailer to your Aviator.
- Illumination Package – The Illumination Package is included with the Reserve II option, and includes Adaptive Pixel LED Headlamps with Lincoln Signature Lighting, Lincoln Dynamic Lighting, Adaptive Dynamic bending Lighting, Wiper Activation as well as Speed Dependent Lighting. It also gets a Lincoln Lit Star in the Grille.
- Element Package Plus – This comes standard on Reserve II and includes Heated and Ventilated seats in both first and second rows as well as a heated steering wheel and Heated VisioBlade Wipers.
- Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 Plus Package – This packages brings with it a number of important safety and driver-assist features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Reverse Brake Assist and Active Park Assist Plus. This package is standard with the Reverse II.
- Luxury Package – This package includes Perfect Position Front Seats with Thigh Extenders and offers 30-way adjustable seat and head restraint. It also comes with Active Motion massaging system for increased luxury. The Package also offers Rear Door Sun Shade and the Revel Ultima 28-Speakers 3D Audio system.
Apart from these packages, Lincoln also offers an available Convenience Package for $2,200 and Dynamic Handling Package for $3,000, but we find no reason to spend further on those two. The Reserve II equipment group provides a long list of features and technologies that appears to be quite sufficient for us.
The Lincoln Aviator can also be attached with varying types of Accessories like Sportz Tent, Ski Carrier Adaptor, Hitch-Mounted Bike Carrier, Cargo Area Protector, Cargo Organizer and a lot more, but we have not included any in our selection. So, to summarize, the net price of our Lincoln Aviator Reserve, after adding all these options and packages, stands at $71,260.
The 2024 Lincoln Aviator Reserve, in our views, can suit anyone’s taste perfectly when equipped with the above options. Our chosen specs for the Aviator gives it a good blend of luxury and convenience features at an affordable price tag of $71,260. While, on the other hand, the Aviator Grand Touring comes at the base price of $68,800 and that of the Black Label is $77,695. When comparing with these two, the Reserve can be said to offer substantial value as it gets most of the features that are standard on these higher trims.
